Refund & Cancellation Policy

This Refund & Cancellation Policy applies to purchases made for linkembed.io through our website or authorized payment providers.

Free Plan

linkembed.io includes a free plan so you can test the product before purchasing. We recommend trying the free plan first to make sure the workflow fits your needs.

Annual Plans (Creator / Pro)

Cancellations

All paid plans are billed annually. You can disable auto-renewal at any time. Your plan will remain active until the end of the current billing term.

Refunds

7-day refund window (balanced policy)

If you upgrade to a paid annual plan and it's not a fit, you can request a full refund within 7 days of purchase, as long as:

  • your account has been used within reasonable limits, and
  • your account has not been restricted for violations of our Terms.

We may ask a couple quick questions to understand what didn't work and to help troubleshoot if it's a technical issue, but you don't need to write a long explanation.

Refunds we will approve

Refunds are generally approved for:

  • Duplicate charges (e.g., you were billed twice for the same plan)
  • Verified technical issues that prevent using core features and cannot be resolved by our support team within the refund window

Non-refundable situations

Refunds will not be issued for:

  • Change of mind or "no longer need it" after purchase
  • Issues caused by unsupported setups (e.g., third-party services that block embedding, browser extensions, ad blockers, unsupported DNS configurations, misconfigured CNAME/SSL etc.)
  • Misuse, abuse, or violations of our Terms, including (but not limited to) phishing, fraud, malware, impersonation, or other harmful activity
  • Accounts that are restricted, suspended, or terminated due to policy enforcement
  • Chargebacks or payment disputes (please contact us first—our support team can help)
  • Requests made after 7 days from purchase

Reasonable use (anti-abuse protection)

To keep the platform safe and fair, refund eligibility within the 7-day window is limited to accounts that have not exceeded reasonable use for the plan during that period. If we detect unusually high usage patterns or clear attempts to abuse the service, we may decline the refund.

(We keep these limits flexible so normal use isn't penalized, while abusive patterns can't be used as a "free trial.")

How to request a refund

Email support (linkembed@proton.me) from the address on your account within 7 days of purchase and include:

  • the email/workspace on the account
  • your payment receipt (or the payment email)
  • a one-line reason for the request

If you believe your account was restricted by mistake, mention that and we'll review it.

Notes

We reserve the right to deny refund requests that appear fraudulent or abusive, or intended to bypass these rules.
